Overview

Paimorn ("we", "our", the "Service") is a community songbook for guitar chords and lyrics. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Paimorn, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

- Account information: when you create an account, we store the email address you provide and a display name, plus a profile photo if you choose to upload one. Your password is handled directly by Firebase Authentication — we never see it in plain text. - Content you submit: song titles, artists, lyrics, chords, comments, setlists, favorites, song requests, and issue reports you create are stored so the Service can show them to you and, where applicable, to other users. - Song requests: if you request a song, the email address and Facebook link you provide are stored privately and shown only to site admins — never publicly. The song title/artist, lyrics, and vote count you submit in a request are public so others can vote on it. - Local device data: your language and theme preference, and a short list of recently viewed songs, are stored on your own device (browser local storage) and never sent to us. The app also caches song content on your device so you can keep reading recently viewed songs while offline. - Microphone (guitar tuner): if you use the built-in tuner, the app (Android) accesses your device's microphone to detect pitch in real time. Audio is processed entirely on your device and is never recorded to a file, stored, or sent to our servers. - Analytics: we use Google Analytics to see roughly how many people are browsing the site right now and which countries visitors are browsing from (estimated by Google from IP address — we do not store your exact IP address ourselves). Google Analytics does not receive your name, email, or any other account information from us. We do not use advertising trackers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to operate the Service: to show your submissions in the songbook once approved, let you manage your own setlists, favorites, and profile, let admins review submissions and moderate reported issues, and contact you about a song request if you left details for that purpose.

Public vs. Private Content

Approved songs, comments, community posts, song requests (excluding your contact details), and their vote counts are visible to anyone who visits the site — please don't put anything in these fields that you don't want public. Your setlists and favorites are private to your account by default; a setlist is visible to others only if you turn on its "Share" link yourself.

Data Storage & Security

Paimorn runs on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Storage, Cloud Functions), so your data is stored on Google's cloud infrastructure. Access to non-public data — like your account email or a song request's contact details — is restricted by server-side security rules to you and to site admins only.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand traffic and usage on this site. Google Analytics has its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and offers a browser add-on to opt out of its tracking across all websites (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Your Choices

You can edit your display name and profile photo, delete your own draft songs, and remove your own comments, setlists, or favorites at any time inside the app. If you'd like your account and its data deleted entirely, email us below and we'll take care of it.

Children's Privacy

Paimorn is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
